Bay of Fundy

Take your Arm-Chair Explorers on a visual journey to the Bay of Fundy, home to the highest tides on Earth.

Two worlds unfold in the same place — fishing boats resting in the mud at low tide, then floating several stories higher just hours later. This Armchair Adventure Travel program brings the experience to life, blending photographs Dr. Ken captured himself with stories from Dr. Ken’s travels to create an experience that is engaging, lighthearted, and easy to follow.

Highlights of the Bay of Fundy Program

– Walk on the ocean floor among towering sea-sculpted flowerpot rocks
– Watch fishing harbors completely transform between low and high tide
– Explore lighthouses, bayside villages, and coastal lookouts
– Hear humorous and personal travel stories from Nova Scotia and New Brunswick
– Learn what makes these tides so extreme (spoiler: the “Bathtub Effect”)
